SMART Recovery

No matter what your addictive behavior, SMART Recovery can help. For over two decades we have been offering free support groups (face-to-face and online) helping people learn self-empowering tools and providing support for each other in recovery.
The goal of SMART Recovery is for you to achieve a healthy, positive and balanced lifestyle so you can conquer new challenges when you feel confident your addictive behavior is behind you.

The purpose of this group is to support those who want to integrate Buddhist teachings and practices into their recovery from any addiction. We are open to people of all backgrounds and recovery paths, including, but not limited to all 12 Step programs.

What is Holistic Natural Recovery?
It’s a multi-dimensional approach to recovery addressing your physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs.
Sessions may include a combination of gentle movement, breath, as well as more holistic wellness offerings.

We welcome all who struggle with addiction, are affected by addiction and/or support the recovery lifestyle.
Our meetings are typically 30 minutes long and consist of check in, 10-15 minutes of meditation and check out. Start your day breathing deep, centered with a clear head and community.
Meditation for Recovery (M4R) meetings are open to anyone who is dealing with substance use, mental health concerns, disordered eating, as well as any other quality of life concerns or behavioral health disorders.

Family Connections Support Group
Is a loved one struggling with substance use? It’s hard to know what to do or say. How do we hold the rest of the family together or just not fall apart ourselves?
- How do I talk to my loved one without fighting?
- What’s the difference between being supporting and being enabling?
- Why don’t my ultimatums work? Don’t they love us?
- What are some treatment options? Where do I even start?
Hosted for FREE by Community in Crisis on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in person or on Zoom.

Join us as we tackle some difficult questions, explore coping skills and find ways to support one another. We welcome all and hold confidentiality as a top priority.

Moderation Management is a great way to help you evaluate your relation to substances and connect with a community that focuses on taking steps toward a healthier and happier life.
Our group provides a non-judgmental, compassionate and supportive community for anyone who wants to change their relationship to substances in a positive way. We meet each other where we’re at and encourage each other to keep going when the road gets tough. Come as you are.

What is a peer recovery Pop Up?
Offered by Community in Connection, Somerset County’s Peer Recovery Center, we are people with lived recovery experience sharing and connecting communities to local resources to support recovery.
Our monthly Pop Up will feature:
- One-on-One Peer Support with a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
- Mental Health Peer Support
- Substance Use and Mental Health resource referrals
- Free Narcan distribution
- Connection to education, employment, and other resources
- Free Wellness items
- All Recovery Meeting 5:30 – 6:30 pm
