Alternative Approaches to Pain Management

Know your options before taking prescription opioids.

Know Your OptionsInformation for Patients

Do you live with pain? Do you take opioids?
They can be helpful but, for many, the risks outweigh the benefits.

In fact, did you know, opioids can sometimes increase pain sensitivity over time?! Talk to your doctor about non-opioid alternatives such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen and naproxen. A great idea is to try alternative forms of pain management that pose less risk, such as physical therapy, gentle exercise, yoga, chiropractic care, massage and acupuncture!
