Naloxone Kits and Training
July 27 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm EDT
Naloxone Saves Lives: Make a stand against opioid overdose and carry Narcan.
Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. It works by binding to opioid receptors in the brain, quickly restoring normal breathing to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped due to overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid pain medications.
Certified Peer Recovery Specialists from Community in Connection will be on-hand to give away free Narcan kits, Fentanyl test strips, and other valuable life-saving items. They will provide instructions on how to administer Narcan and answer any questions you may have.
Brought to you by the Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Collaboration with Community in Connection, Somerset County’s Peer Recovery Center.
