Middle school students are invited to join the “Hub Club,’’ a six week after-school program to be held 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays from October 11th to November 29th. Hub Club will not be held on Nov 8th, the week of NJ Teachers’ Convention or Nov 22nd, Thanksgiving. The club will offer youth the opportunity to enjoy fun activities and participate in community service projects.
Every two weeks, club members will be greeted by pet therapy dogs through a partnership with Creature Comfort, a non-profit whose goal is to provide a network of volunteers dedicated to sharing their pet’s love by visiting people in need of comfort. Community service projects will support CIC’s work and give students the chance to help others. Registration is required. A $40 suggested donation is requested to cover supplies for the six-week program. Financial assistance is available thanks to a grant provided through the Horizon Foundation of New Jersey; families are encouraged to email email@example.com.
