DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the sanctuary of a birding hike at the Sanctuary! \nNew Jersey Audubon \nScherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary \n11 Hardscrabble Rd. \nBernardsville NJ 07924 \nOur hike will be led by a knowledgeable peer who is experienced in bird watching and identification. \nThe Sanctuary is home to more than 60 species of nesting birds\, and over 200 species of birds have been sighted at the Sanctuary\, including as many as 25 species of warblers during spring migration. Nesting birds of interest include Worm-eating Warbler\, Louisiana Waterthrush\, Ruby-throated Hummingbird\, Pileated Woodpecker\, Wild Turkey\, and Great-horned and Screech owls. \nPlease dress in hiking appropriate footwear and attire. Bug repellent and sunscreen would be a welcome addition.
